Lake Sioni

Lake Sioni, the reservoir – is located in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, in the middle of the Iori River, and between the villages Lelovani and Sioni.

Lake Sioni is mainly fed by the waters of the Iori River and has been intended to regulate the flow of the Iori River for many years. Water is also used for irrigation.

The Sioni hydroelectric power station also participates in a cascade of small hydroelectric power plants. The maximum level of the lake occurs in the second half of July, and the minimum - in March.

Sioni Reservoir, the same as Lake Sioni is a popular destination for various activities, including boating, hiking, picnics, fishing, and more.
