Kazbegi National Park is located in Kazbegi Municipality, on the northern slopes of the Caucasus Mountains, in the historic province of Khevi. Only 35% of it is forested, the rest is alpine meadows, moraines, inaccessible cliffs, and snow-capped peaks. Kazbegi National Park is mountainous, its lowest point being 1400 meters above sea level.
The national park is rich in fauna and flora. There are also many mountaineering sites, distinguished by their beauty and complexity. Noteworthy sights are the Gergeti Trinity Church and other important monuments of historical Georgia, including early and medieval churches, towers, settlements, etc.
The areas to be visited in Kazbegi National Park are Truso, Dariali, and Khda valleys.
Despite the lack of tourist infrastructure, Kazbegi National Park is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Georgia.
